Head North: Paranoid Revolution

SKU: HNPR Category:

On this comprehensive tour we travel to site of the legendary Mothers Club, voted best rock club in the world, where John Peel was the resident DJ and Pink Floyd recorded Ummagumma. We’ll see the studio where John Bonham was first heard unleashing his power on the drums and where the FX for Thunderbirds and Fireball XL5 were created. We’ll travel into Aston and visit the four streets where Heavy Metal was born: visiting the house Ozzy Osbourne grew up in; the schools he went to, where he met Tony Iommi; the leisure centre where Black Sabbath rehearsed their first two albums.

We’ll head into the capital of Reggae, Handsworth, visiting the site of Steel Pulse’s first rehearsal space, the pub where they played their first gigs and where they would document the social strife of the 80s. We’ll travel down the Soho Rd, the centre of Bhangra and arguably the most fertile area of music making in the country! We’ll head back into the city centre, passing by venues such as the legendary Cedar Club, Holy City Zoo, the Top Rank/Hummingbird and The Que Club before finishing at The Crown Pub, one of the most important sites of music history in the world.
